East Michigan Environmental Action Council

East Michigan Environmental Action Council got its start in response to quickly worsening climate health in southeast Michigan in the 1960’s. Back then, the urban communities that make up a majority of southeast Michigan’s population were facing the harshest climate inequities. Today, the story is all too similar. Detroiters especially face an abundance of environmental injustices. That’s why EMEAC has stuck around to fight holistically for the people most affected.
