Announcing our signature yearly salute

The Milliken Award Celebration honors an environmental hero with the Helen & William Milliken Distinguished Service award for their career of service. Now in its 28th year, this unique event is one of Michigan’s oldest and most recognized occasions to salute the people who have made profound and lasting positive impacts on our state’s natural resources, communities and residents. The Milliken Award is named for former Michigan Governor and First Lady in honor of their environmental legacy.

Festivities include an exclusive pre-event reception for sponsors along with current and former award recipients, celebration gathering with invited guests and official presentation of the Helen & William Milliken Distinguished Service Award. The occasion provides extensive brand exposure across all event marketing.

This year we honor Lois DeBacker, former program director at the Kresge and C.S. Mott Foundations, for her efforts to not only protect and preserve the environment, but also provide critical, capacity-building resources for organizations and communities around the state.

The celebration will take place at the Rogel Ballroom at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor on Thursday, Aug. 20. See below for sponsorship information. Tickets will be made available for purchase soon.
