“Flood the zone with sh*t.” That’s the phrase far-right influencer Steve Bannon used to describe a tactic for an authoritarian presidency. Disorient. Overwhelm. Don’t let up.

That has been American life since Trump took office on Jan. 20. Amidst the deluge of news, we’re left treading water, unsure what it all means and what we can possibly do about it.

The Michigan Environmental Council has spent 45 years fighting floods and literal crap. Bannon’s metaphor is no exception.

So, too, have Michigan League of Conservation Voters and Sierra Club Michigan Chapter . These three organizations join together to show you how federal environmental decisions impact the state’s people and places, how we are and should be protecting ourselves, and how we can come together to aid the cause.
