Ryan Bohlen has been the Environmental Council’s movement building intern since February 2025, where he researches organizational information and compiles data, gaining a general knowledge of how the Environmental Council works. He joined to gain knowledge on environmental policy and policymaking as he considers law school.
Ryan comes from Michigan State University’s James Madison College, where he is majoring in international relations and affairs and minoring in business and environmental sustainability studies. Among the opportunities he’s had was a trip to Ghana to see how water is sustainably managed and treated.
Rounding out Ryan’s experiences was a three-year stint as the event coordinator for the Kensington Junior Golf Tour in Hartland, near where he grew up.
When away from school and work, Ryan enjoys playing golf and basketball and hanging out with friends—a group trip to Torch Lake is an ideal location.
