Meghann ensures the Environmental Council achieves its strategic, operational and financial goals. She interfaces between senior leadership, the Board of Directors and staff; she helps manage the nonprofit’s finances and facilities; and she supports in-house events.
The Lansing resident joined the Environmental Council in April 2025 after serving 10 years as an elementary educator in Michigan and New Jersey. In these roles, she taught music and directed choirs. She still offers private lessons in vocals, ukulele, piano and guitar.
Her work is grounded in three degrees: a bachelor’s degree in music education at Rutgers University, a master’s in music education at Boston University and certification through the Westminster Choir College.
Meghann enjoys gardening, making music, watching reality TV and playing with her son alongside her husband, Tom. Her number one happy place is at her family’s longtime house on Mullett Lake near Cheboygan—as a child, she spent entire summers there.
