Lillian joined the Michigan Environmental Council in January 2025 as a policy intern. She researches carbon sequestration, or when the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide is removed from the atmosphere and stored in liquid or solid form.

Lillian joined the Environmental Council through a partnership with Western Michigan University’s Lee Honors College. There, she majors in environmental sustainability and political science.

Prior to joining the Environmental Council, Lillian worked as a dining host at a fine dining restaurant and as a server at the Lake Yellowstone Hotel respectively. She also currently serves in two volunteer roles: as a land steward for LC Nature Park in Indiana and as the vice president of philanthropy for Alpha Xi Delta Sorority – Theta Eta Chapter.

When away from work and service, the Indiana native and current Kalamazoo resident enjoys being outdoors and spending time with friends.
