Abby Wallace

Movement Building Coordinator

Contact

As the Environmental Council’s chief connector and collaborator, Abby works with member groups to support their goals and the environmental movement at large. She brings the people and groups together to best champion good change. Prior to this role, she served for two years on the Environmental Council’s policy team as the energy and climate policy coordinator.

The East Lansing native joined the Environmental Council in April 2020 to work on energy and climate policy. One month later, she graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies and sustainability.

In August 2022, she relocated to Marquette to pursue a master of business administration with a focus on sustainable business practices from Northern Michigan University. She also spends part of her time as an organizer working to expand clean energy opportunities across the Upper Peninsula.

Marquette aside, Abby’s favorite place is Grand Marais—where she has gone since she was five years old—and its beautiful sand dunes, especially where forest turns into beach.

In her free time, Abby spends her time running, hiking, hanging out with her friends and pets, and reading all forms of books—she recommends The Black Prism by Brent Weeks.
