Land & Wildlife

Michigan is rich with a diversity of land, wildlife and natural spaces from the southernmost point of the Lower Peninsula to the vast and untouched corners of the Upper Peninsula—each community, forest and waterway teaming with unique ecosystems and life. But these precious resources continue to come under threat for short-term gain and little regard for the long-term effects. As we work to preserve the biodiversity of our two Mittens, we must ensure our resources are protected and made accessible for all Michiganders.

Our vision for change

Enact critical policies that restore protections for Michigan’s natural spaces, safeguard our state’s ecological systems and biodiversity, combat invasive species, and conserve lands for future generations.

Restore protections for critical sand dunes,

rare and globally significant landscapes that are among Michigan's most recognizable and defining natural features.

Pass a comprehensive bill package

to improve pollinator health and habitat.

Establish statewide setbacks for construction

along the Great Lakes to protect coastal ecosystems.

Pass legislation to conserve

30% of Michigan’s natural spaces by 2030.
