PFAS Alliance

PFAS Alliance is a group of individuals that are from and for communities affected by contamination of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances. The scientists, activists and impacted individuals that comprise it were brought together by the late activist and attorney AJ Birkbeck, who envisioned PFAS Alliance as a way to mentor and better communities across the state. The group now maintains the AJ Birkbeck Scholarship, which awards students at Michigan college and universities working to prevent and remove the so-called “forever chemicals.”
