Michigan Botanical Society

The Michigan Botanical Society was founded in 1941 with a mission to conserve native plants and conduct research, sponsor legislation, educate and establish sanctuaries around them. It has five chapters across the state and is host to the Michigan Big Tree Program, a register of the grandest examples of our most historically, spiritually and personally important trees.
