Kalamazoo River Watershed Council

The Kalamazoo River Watershed Council unites neighbors, local governments, nonprofits and businesses in restoring and protecting the Kalamazoo River, its tributaries and its watershed. It does so through education, like informative canoe trips, and action, like river cleanups. It also oversees the effort to remove its namesake river as an “area of concern” due to historic and current industrial pollution.
