Citizens for Alternatives to Chemical Contamination

Citizens for Alternatives to Chemical Contamination is a grassroots education and advocacy organization dedicated to the principals of social and environmental justice, pollution prevention, citizen empowerment and more, with and a focus on the Great Lakes Bioregion. CACC formed in the the late 1970s as a spongy moth epidemic swept across the Midwest and the state was spraying forests with a dangerous pesticide. Organic farmers banded together and successfully stopped the spraying. The rest is history.
