AFFEW

AFFEW formed in 1990 over residents’ concerns about an increase in cancer rates in Mason County. Since then, it has expanded to provide educational opportunities for the Mason County community by actively promoting a healthy and thriving environment. It hosts workshops, forums, cleanups, invasive species removals and hazardous waste pickups—it even runs a community garden.
