Sign on to urge legislators to protect our water

Next year, a new state legislature will be gridlocked by split chambers. An incoming federal administration will grind environmental progress to a halt—or worse. Michigan has the solutions its waters and its people need.

There are a number of active bills that would restore rules, create safety standards and provide affordable, clean water. Our lawmakers are not acting to advance them. Even worse, they are supporting and moving bills that are rooted in corporate greed AND that harm our water resources.

There is still an opportunity during the limited remaining Lame Duck session to get water protections done. But our lawmakers need to feel pressure from a unified environmental movement.

Please sign on to this joint statement, led by the Michigan Environmental Council and championed by other environmental allies, so we can effectively urge lawmakers to use our limited window in the remaining Lame Duck session.
